A Question I Am Prepared to Answer...
Most humans are absorbers. However, the quality of our common, striking absorbent feature varies. While some own an inferior version, others exhibit the superior type. An inferior absorber has a small store for adaptation or adjustment to social dynamics. They try in vain to assimilate beyond the capacity of their mental tank. Consequently, they let the excess of whatever is to be contained run over in various forms and degrees of reactions. Trust a superior absorber. Superior absorbers are blessed. They have a common store as large as the cooking pot of a mother of fifteen children where everything absorbable can be kept. They are innately enduring. Only extremities pose problems to their able storage solution. They lack space for elephantine, drastic, acute adversities and end up reacting accordingly.
Having done a successful description of the two categories of absorbers that exist, it is absolutely necessary to acknowledge the existence of humans who are not and can never be absorbers. It is not their fault, though. Their minds are naturally and eternally structured to include the inadequacy. God is not a human that can suffer memory loss or absentmindedness; hence, I will not commit a blunder with words which will suggest that the exclusion of an absorbent feature in their system during the formative process is an inconsistency on the part of the Omnipotent being. Surely, it is a deliberate divine design meant to establish the fact that humans are perfectly created to be imperfect. Besides, variety is the spice of life. If all humans think and behave the same way, life will be dull, narrow and offer humanity an unbalanced living experience.
Remember the focus is still on the set of people who are not worthy to be called absorbers. They are very good at making a hash of relating to others. They are created without a store, either small or big, to deposit anything; so, whenever and whatever they swallow, they are bound to vomit entirely. They are capable of throwing up grave shadows out of trivialities, too. They are simply ultraists. They are best described as irritable, choleric or fractious. They are easily agitated. They have a stereotyped temper, so quick and bad that they end up creating a storm in a tea cup. They get angry or worry about casual or frivolous subjects. They see everything as a big deal and treat all as such. They can give their right arm for anything but patience. Tolerance lives far away from them. It can live in Mars for all they care. They overstate, hyperbolise, inflate, overdraw, hike, heighten or go to extremes with everything. It is strange but true that all these acts earn them pleasure, pride and peace of mind.
A sound norm states that to whom much is given, much is expected. But when a benefactor of so much chooses to give little or nothing, it is an unsound decision or act in defiance of the norm. Defiance is a disease. If it is as terrible as that of a goat in a human, then, it is the incurable kind.
Rebellious absorbers willingly accept to be a pack of fuss. They fail to take in and keep the necessary deposits. With their heart rigidly set to exhibit a super insolence, an absorber reduces themself to the level of an irascible being. They disregard nature impolitely and grossly to bake needless trouble or turbulence. They unchain or let loose the wild content of the store of their self-restraint. They treat less serious issues as awfully serious. They pay great attention to things they once ignored. They refuse to adapt, adjust or conform with handy realities, and make a mountain out of a molehill. Like a lion, they roar at the sight of a poor rat. They overdo. They overreact. They boost, exaggerate, overestimate, amplify, misreport, misrepresent, scam or blow out of proportion, actions, situations or conditions. They transgress, cause mischief and feel so joyous or glad to sleep, whenever nature calls, with their two eyes closed without having nightmares for as long as the resting period lasts. And they will wake up, thereafter, without the fear of being struck by their conscience or thunder, or both, and continue to live a beautiful, impudent life.
There is a question I am ready to answer. One question. And the question is why I have decided to write extensively about absorbers and ultraists. I am presenting my answer right away. The clash of human behaviours or reactions to issues is largely misconstrued as anomalous. On the contrary, it is normal. Moreover, It is inevitable. We are fated to engage this fact in an inescapable, constant, whirlwind romance for as long as we live; therefore, a general thirst for knowledge about who we really are becomes a necessity. A concrete finding will help us to comprehend and learn to tolerate one another better. The result of my meticulous observation of people since I have developed the power of discernment is that every human is either an absorber or an ultraist. We are bound to act or react differently to issues. And our actions and reactions are revealing; they are pointers of our attitudinal successes and failings. They reflect our strength and weaknesses. They display our spotless gestures and expose our defects. They are markers of our wholesome dispositions and flaws. Mind you, I say flaws, not decadence. They are indicators of our invulnerable reactions and Achilles' heel.
We should not get confused or disturbed by our differences. Rather, we should be convinced by them that life is a teacher. A teacher of what? What have you been able to make out of this piece? Don't you feel something so dear talking through it into your ears? The fact is, I cannot be you and you cannot be me. So, we should not be too worried for being our true selves in deeds. We should not be too upset about others acting out their true selves. We should accept ourselves for who we are, we should accept others for who they are, in both cases, to make us who we should be. Everyone can improve. I hope Bukola is making sense. We can help one another to be better humans. We can be one another's mirror.
