'Good' is the most appropriate word that can be engaged for the skillful description of anything that match up to the definite, factual demands of nature. It explains either a concrete or an abstract phenomenon composed of mainly excellent advantages and choices, out of which everyone is at liberty to employ, to steer, boost and advance positivity and progression within its world. It describes everything within the scope of the knowledge of existence which works as a compelling influence for the purpose of the creation of relevance, significance and achievements. It has a first-rate quality of portraying honourable, valuable meaning with utmost ease when used in a detached or an attached sense. It is an exceptional unit for which synonyms are constantly being created to achieve equally exceptional, satisfying semantic impression or clarity in any given linguistic circumstance or context. It is a sterling qualifier of whatever is envisaged, prioritised or, and actualised for the benefit of one, some, many or all concerned.
If a thought is good, then, it is not bad. If it offers excellence, it is not in any way an offerer of inferiority. If it works for the creation of relevance, significance and achievements, it cannot be associated with irrelevance, insignificance and unfulfillment. If it makes a precious sense, it is devoid of valuelessness. If it stands out, it is not ignorable, and when it is beneficial, it cannot be injurious or harmful. All these qualities can make up the definitions and characteristics of good thoughts anyhow we want it.
At this point, it is compulsory we take a step out of the ideal definitions of the word, 'good'. It is just necessary we dig deep into individualistic views of the term as influenced by their ways of life.
While a handy percentage of people share the perfect indefectible view of 'good' as a general good, others misinterpret 'good' to mean something that favours them only, even wrongly at some point in time in life. In other words, personal pursuits or intentions, situations or outright mindset tend to cause a misinterpretation and misuse of the word, 'good'.
A questionable character sees every mischievous idea and success as good. Instances abound. A thief's discretion of a good development is a successful robbery.
Moreover, a naughty child views a well crafted lie accepted by their parents as good.
Besides, an unfaithful partner in any form of relationship regards hiding their acts of betrayal behind a shield of disaffection as good. A case such as this turns messier when a betrayed partner eventually discovers the wrong and feels so good not to question or to address it accordingly, but to retaliate by indulging in the same secret disloyal act(s).
To be wronged heavily is to be massively frustrated and provoked to seek revenge brutally. A wronged, upset and vengeful heart is in a terrible situation, and will declare the fact that whatever is good for the goose is equally good for the gander. This mindset is the force behind seeking justice the wrong way. An example is committing further murders as a reaction to a murder crime.
In addition, as regards mindset, the common stand of atheists is to regard everything outside the belief in the existence of God as good. Besides, a debtor will lie to a creditor freely and abundantly due to lack of resources to pay and feel it is good. I can go on and on.
I hope I have hired words to define the term, 'good', in a manner such that they evince the extravagance of its value prosperously. You must have observed that these definitions are resources for possible, meaningful constructions of the definitions and properties of good thoughts, too. I have stressed that it is possible for a human's moral status and circumstance to fashion its bearer's interpretation and use of the word, 'good', which establishes the fact that we are capable of, or can be compelled to bestow meaning on words based on our worldview and situation. But the fact remains that our individual views of the definition of the word, 'good' can only be a subjective submission which may compete but will never win a war of recognition, acceptability and usage against a formidable, ideal, utterly sound and objective relevance of the word. Embrace goodness, preach goodness, practice goodness and help sustain goodness in our world.
